2004:
  - Board meetings: 4
  - Annual meeting, Kristiansand S, 10. September in co-operation with the Norwegian Museums Association. International Theme: European Museum Trends.
International speaker Wim van der Weiden, European Museum Forum, former General Director of National Museum of Natural History Naturalis, the Netherlands.
  - 6 Ethics workshops for groups of museums around the country, based on a script by ICOM Norway’s chairperson; (Later used also in Sweden and mistakenly referred to within ICOM as “The Swedish workshop”).
  2005:
  - Board meetings: 5
  - Blue Shield and Red Cross Conference, 23. May
  - Meeting for ICOM members, 29. August. The programme included the work of ICOM EC, AC, IC and NC, international conventions, Blue Shield and co-operation with other organisations.
  - Annual meeting, Karlstad (Sweden) 23. September in co-operation with the Norwegian Museums Association and in combination with a Nordic Museum Conference. Theme: The History of the Swedish-Norwegian National Union, 1814-1905. Speakers from Norway and Sweden.
  2006:
  - Board meetings: 4
  - Annual meeting, Stjørdal 8. September in co-operation with the Norwegian Museums Association. Theme: Re-defining Learning at the National History Museum, London. Speaker: Honor Gay, Head of Learning, Natural History Museum.
  - Invited speakers to ICOM Norway’s annual meeting: Per Bjørn Rekdal, EC member ICOM, and Ingunn Kvisterøy, The Norwegian UNESCO secretariat. Themes: International Museum Co-operation and International Conventions involving Museums.
 
  Collaborative programmes with other National Committees, International Committees or ICOM members:
2004:
  - Hosted ICOM Nord in Trondheim, 23. April. ICOM Nord meetings are for chairpersons and secretaries of the national committees of the Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Exchange of information is the most important part of the programme.
  2005:
  - ICOM Nord hosted by ICOM Sweden in Gothenburg, Sweden, 15. April. Meeting for ICOM Board members.
  2006:
  - Co-operated in ICOM Sweden’s launching and presenting of Ethics workshops, Stockholm 31. March
  - ICOM Nord hosted by ICOM Denmark in Århus, Denmark, 21. April. Meeting for ICOM Board members.
 
3 Publications:
  2006:
  - Code of Ethics, Norwegian edition, (published in collaboration with ABM-U, The Norwegian Archive, Library and Museum Authority).
  - Brochure to inform about ICOM to museums and society, and to recruit new members.
 
4 Events organized for the International Museums Day:
  Because the preceding day, May 17th, is Norway’s National Day with extensive celebrations including most museums, there are no special events in Norwegian museums in connection with the International Museums Day May 18th.
 
5 Activities in the framework of the ICOM Strategic Plan 2004 – 2007:
  Objective 5.1:
  - ICOM Norway has acted as ICOMs voice in Norway, especially when ethical questions have been raised. Board members have been interviewed by the press and in other media on several occasions and have mentioned the important role ICOM plays in the world of museums. ICOM Norway has also sent out press releases commenting special cases.
  - Meeting for ICOM members, 29. August 2005. The programme included the work of ICOM EC, AC, IC and NC, international conventions, Blue Shield and co-operation with other organisations.
  - Brochure in 2006 to inform about ICOM to museums and society, and to recruit new members.
 
  Objective 5.2:
  - ICOM Norway co-operates with the Norwegian UNESCO secretariat and the Norwegian Museums Association. During the last triennial period these relations have been strengthened through co-operative projects on meetings etc.
  - The category of non-voting member has been introduced in Norway.
  - ICOM Norway has a homepage, http://www.icom-norway.com. On this page members and potential members can get information about ICOM Norway, find applications forms etc, and also contact the secretariat.
  - ICOM Norway also has an e-mail-list that regularly sends out information to members who have registered.
  - ICOM Norway have initiated and published ICOMs Code of Ethics, Norwegian edition, in collaboration with ABM-U, The Norwegian Archive, Library and Museum Authority.
 
6 Other
  - General conference in Seoul 2004: 5 members of ICOM Norway elected Chair of international committees; Per Bjørn Rekdal from Norway elected to Executive council.
  - ICOM’s representative in the Norwegian Blue Shield Committee, Leif Pareli, has chaired the committee for the whole period and also participated in the Blue Shield Conferences in Turin 2004 and The Hague 2006.
  - ICOM’s chairperson Eva Mæhre Lauritzen was in 2005 elected to ICOM’s Ethics committee.
